Job Summary

As a Matron within the RHS, you will provide strong, visible leadership to ensure the highest standards of care, safety, and patient experience across your designated clinical areas. You will be responsible for upholding professional standards, improving service quality, and supporting the delivery of strategic objectives aligned with RHS values.

In this senior role, you will oversee nursing teams, working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues to ensure that care is delivered efficiently and compassionately. You will be a key driver of clinical governance, infection prevention, patient safety, and workforce development. Monitoring performance, leading audits, and engaging with staff and patients to drive improvements will form an essential part of your role.

As a Matron in the RHS, you will act as a role model, promoting a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement. You will support staff wellbeing, lead on patient feedback responses, and ensure that all staff are delivering care that reflects the trust’s priorities and commitment to excellence.

This role is suited to a highly experienced and motivated nurse leader who combines clinical credibility with strategic vision and operational effectiveness. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of care delivery within the RHS.
