Ancillary Services
Job Summary
As a member of the Ancillary Services team within the RHS, you will play a vital role in ensuring the hospital operates smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Working across a range of essential non-clinical areas, your duties may include reception and administrative support, working in the stores, cleaning and hygiene, maintenance and repair, patient portering, and site security.
This varied role requires flexibility, reliability, and a strong commitment to supporting both staff and patients. You may be the first point of contact for visitors at reception, assist with stock deliveries and distribution, help maintain a clean and safe environment, respond to basic maintenance issues, or ensure patients are safely transported between departments.
Working within the RHS, you will be part of a wider team that keeps services running behind the scenes, contributing directly to patient care and experience. You will be expected to work to high standards, follow RHS policies and procedures, and take pride in your role, knowing that your work helps make the hospital a safe, welcoming, and well-organised place for all.
This role is ideal for someone practical, approachable, and dedicated to making a difference through hands-on, supportive work across a range of hospital services. Full training and support will be provided, with opportunities to develop and progress within the RHS.
