Your responsibilities will include reviewing prescriptions, managing the supply and storage of medications, counselling patients on their medicines, and contributing to medicines reconciliation and discharge planning. You may also be involved in clinical ward rounds, antimicrobial stewardship, and supporting specialist services depending on your area of practice.
Within the RHS, you will support quality improvement initiatives, promote safe medication practices, and contribute to training and education for both staff and patients. You will ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and participate in audits, incident reviews, and formulary development.
